FAQs

When will I receive my order?

Our products are made in small batches, so all in-stock items will be shipped out within four business days via USPS. During high production periods, new orders will be sent into production (cut and sewn) upon ordering and typically take 1-5 days to complete, then sent out with the same USPS options. If we are back ordered and waiting on a fabric to be restocked, we will reach out to you with updated timing.

What are the shipping options?

We offer USPS First Class Mail, USPS Priority 2-day Mail, and USPS Express Mail. All options are available at Checkout.

How do I wash my activewear?

Generally speaking, always avoid heat with high-performance apparel. Hand-washing and hang drying are best, but a cold, gentle cycle for washing machine and a low to no-heat setting on a dryer can work as well. For more help with keeping your garments in tip-top shape, check out our blog.

Where are Tangentfit products made?

Tangentfit is based in Sebastopol, California. From a tiny bedroom/office, through a few different office locations in San Francisco (each one with lots of great stories!), we've landed just north of the Bay Area in Sonoma County. Our designs are based on experience in the ballet scene and dance costuming field. All of our products are sourced and produced in California, USA.

Who designs the products?

All of our products are the vision and creation of owner, Susan Roemer. After a 14-year professional ballet career, and almost a decade as a costume designer, Susan draws inspiration from the experience of wearing costumes and activewear in rigorous rehearsal and performance settings for so many years. The unique requirements of elite athletes, such as professional ballet dancers, are the focus and inspiration for all of our unique designs. Susan designs, builds prototypes, and sews each of the new products.

How do I make sure I order the right size?

Please refer to our Size Chart for guidance on sizing. If you have further questions, please contact us for assistance. Remember that our brand is based on a dancer's aesthetic and needs.

What is the return policy?

Who did the stunning photography and modeling on your website?

Huge thanks to Maximillan Tortoriello for his creative collaboration and generous effort. This Season's artists include Tessa Barbour (Smuin Ballet dance artist) and Sarah Jordan (Smuin Ballet dance artist). Also big thanks to previous seasons models Alysia Chang (freelance artist and dance instructor), Maggie Carey (Smuin Ballet dance artist) and Jenna Marie (ODC/Dance dance artist), and all the many individuals who have supported TangentFit and S-Curve Apparel & Design with love, generosity, and care. If it weren't for them/you, we'd just be left with colorful piles of fabric. They've all breathed life into this work!
